ITINERARY

DAY 1: TRAVEL DAY

Arrive and meet your JE Tour Director at the airport
Head up the mountain to Hacienda Alsacia coffee plantation and enjoy your first cup of Costa Rica coffee and a great view (if time allows – depending on flight)
Check into hotel in San Jose
Dinner at a local restaurant
Orientation & devotions

DAY 2: FORTUNA

Breakfast at hotel
Transfer to the city of Fortuna –home of Volcano Arenal
Stop along the way to visit the Zarcero City Park
Check into hotel
Lunch
Afternoon hike down to the Fortuna Waterfall
Dinner at local restaurant
Hot Spring
Debrief & devotions

DAY 3: FORTUNA ZIPLINING

Breakfast at hotel
Check out of hotel
Morning canopy zip line experience
Lunch at local restaurant
Stop to shop in Sarchí at the local ox cart factory
Dinner at local restaurant
Check into hotel
Debrief & devotions

DAY 4: MINISTRY DAY

Breakfast at hotel
Transfer to local ministry site
Morning light construction work – bring work gloves!
Lunch
Afternoon VBS program for local children: plan/organize crafts, share Bible stories & verses, and create games for children ages 5-12
Transfer to the hotel
Dinner
Debrief & devotions

DAY 5: CATAMARAN CRUISE

Breakfast at hotel
Transfer to Puntarenas
Board the catamaran & travel to Punta Eternia
Spend the day swimming, hiking, kayaking, playing volleyball, & relaxing
Lunch
Afternoon banana boat ride
Board the catamaran & transfer back to hotel
Dinner at the hotel
Debrief & devotions

DAY 6: TRAVEL DAY

Breakfast (if flight time permits)
Transfer to airport
Fly home
