OVERVIEW

Experience the beautiful nature that the Carolinas have to offer as you travel on this Carolina Outdoor Retreat! Between whitewater rafting, zip-line adventure park, wilderness survival lessons, or its team-building course, your group is sure to have an incredible time, learn along the way, and leave the trip closer than ever!

ITINERARY

DAY 1: TRAVEL DAY / NATURE HIKE

  • Arrive at your retreat lodging and meet your JE Tour Director
  • Orientation to the week
  • Participate in a nature hike, discovering breathtaking hidden waterfalls and enjoying some of the most beautiful views of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Nantahala Gorge
  • Dinner at the retreat center followed by devotions in the evening

DAY 2: WHITEWATER RAFTING / WILDERNESS SURVIVAL SKILLS 

  • Breakfast at your retreat property
  • Enjoy whitewater rafting as a group, taking on Class II-III rapids and learning the best way to navigate a river
  • Lunch at your retreat property
  • Participate in an introductory Survival school course as you learn about plant identification, fire building, and a wide range of wilderness survival skills
  • Dinner at your retreat property followed by devotions

DAY 3: TEAM BUILDING COURSE / ZIP LINE ADVENTURE PARK / S’MORES

  • Breakfast at your retreat property
  • Engage in fun games and challenges that provide group growth opportunities by allowing groups to practice problem-solving, communication, and feedback skills
  • Lunch at your retreat property
  • Take on 16 challenges 40 feet above the group as you participate in this zip line adventure park
  • Dinner at your retreat property followed by devotions
  • Enjoy s’mores together as a group on the last night of your trip

DAY 4: TRAVEL DAY

  • Breakfast at your retreat property
  • Check out of your retreat accommodations and begin your journey home

 

IMPORTANT TRIP INFORMATION

  • This trip is only available March – October
  • This trip involves a retreat property with bunk-style accommodations
  • All travelers are required to bring their own linens, bedding, towels, toiletries, etc.
  • Bunk rooms will be separated by group and gender, but other groups may be lodging onsite as well
  • Bathrooms and showers are communal buildings, separated by gender, and located between bunk lodging


ADDITIONAL ADD-ON’S

  • Ask about adding additional days or activities including lake paddle boarding / kayaking, tree climbing / belaying, and more!
