OVERVIEW
This Missions in Mexico tour will provide your group the opportunity to form meaningful relationships with the children of a local orphanage, offering encouragement, friendship, and care. In addition to hands-on service, the experience invites quality time pouring into children in need, personal growth, and connection with your team as you share in this impactful work. In addition, your group will explore the colorful streets of San Cristóbal de las Casas, immersing yourself in local culture and picking up unique souvenirs. By the end of the trip, you’ll leave with the unforgettable joy that comes from making a real difference in the lives of others!
ITINERARY
*IMPORTANT TRIP NOTES*
-This trip is limited to a maximum of 24 travelers due to limited ministry space.
DAY 1: TRAVEL DAY
- Travel to Tuxtla Gutierrez Chiapas, Mexico & meet your JE Tour Director at the airport
- Trip orientation & preview of your time serving at the orphanage
- Dinner at ministry
- Devotions
DAYS 2-4: MINISTRY DAYS
- Breakfast at ministry
- Spend the mornings at the orphanage sharing the love of Christ & spending quality time with the kids through games, story time, etc.
- Lunch at the ministry
- Spend the afternoons assisting in facility improvement projects including painting, gardening, light carpentry, etc.
- Dinner at the ministry
- Devotions
DAY 5: SAN CRISTÓBAL DE LAS CASAS
- Breakfast at the ministry
- Transfer to San Cristóbal de las Casas & experience the local culture
- Lunch in town
- Spend the afternoon shopping for souvenirs
- Dinner in town
- Devotions
DAY 6: TRAVEL DAY
- Breakfast at the ministry
- Clean up at ministry lodgings & say goodbye
- Depart for airport to fly home
STAY LONGER?
- Optional additional day to learn about the local coffee farmers ministry & explore ancient nearby ruins.
