TRAVELING DURING THE GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN
At Joshua Expeditions, we are able to plan for any unforeseen circumstances. Whether its lost luggage or inclement weather, we have made it our mission to make the most out of every trip, regardless of the circumstances. One circumstance that we are currently planning around is the Government Shutdown.
We want to assure all of our travelers that even a Government Shutdown will not stop us from providing high-quality educational travel experiences for our students.
In fact, we tend to look on the bright side around JE, and we think it’s a historical event that is going on right now in Washington, D.C., and across the country. Politics aside, there are many invaluable lessons that students can learn from visiting our Nation’s Capitol right now. Washington, D.C. is at the epicenter of one of the most unique political events in recent memory, and students who visit D.C. during this time will be firsthand witnesses to something that is making international headlines.
While it’s true that there may be some destinations that are currently shut down, Washington, D.C. is full of opportunities and alternatives to many of the areas that are shut down. Plus, we are still offering in-depth teachings by licensed guides throughout each tour. Rest assured that Joshua Expeditions will stay up to date on the closings and re-opening of all public lands and buildings. Each JE trip during this time will continue to have the quality and educational value that we have become known for over the last 15 years.
One activity that is not shut down is the opportunity for our groups to pray for their country in front of the White House and the Capitol Building. We will continue to join our students in lifting up our leaders and all the people that are being affected by this event, and we hope you will do the same.
