A few changes are in place for the 2013 JE Tour Photo Contest, including one way to guarantee yourself a spot in the finals. There will be several mini-contests throughout the season for iTunes prizes, and public voting will take place again on our Facebook Fan Page. Most importantly, winning photos from each mini-contest will become guaranteed finalists for the grand prize of $500!

Compete in December for a $50 iTunes Gift Card
Voting for the first mini-contest will be held at the beginning of December. Eligible photos must be submitted to the JE website between August 1 and November 30, 2012. In addition to the $50 iTunes prize, December’s winning photo will become the featured image on JE’s Facebook Fan Page throughout the month.

Monthly Contests Give You More Chances to Win
Every few months a mini-contest will be held for all photos submitted within a specified time frame. Voting will be open to the public and will take place on the Joshua Expeditions Facebook Fan Page. The photographer of each winning photo will be awarded a $50 iTunes gift card as well a guaranteed spot in the finals.

Monthly Winners Become Automatic Finalists
Each photo that wins a monthly contest will automatically become a finalist for the Grand Prize of $500. Four of the ten finalists will be determined by the mini-contests, so your chances are strengthened by submitting your JE tour photos early. The remaining six finalists will be chosen by Joshua Expeditions staff members. (The 10 finalists will be limited to one photo per person, however, it is possible to win a monthly award as well as one of the grand prizes.)

JE Staff Will Choose Grand Prize Winners
After all the finalists have been determined, the staff of Joshua Expeditions will vote to choose this season’s winning photos. Three cash prizes will be awarded to the top vote-getters: $500 for first place, $300 for second place, and $100 for third place. Winners will be announced in mid-August 2013.

How Do You Enter the JE Tour Photo Contest?
Visit the JE website and upload a photo from a Joshua Expeditions tour that occurred between August 1, 2012, and July 31, 2013. That’s all you have to do! Be sure to read about photo eligibility on the Photo Contest web page.

The Joshua Expeditions Photo Contest has always been about expanding the JE community and offering students a creative outlet to share amazing experiences from their trips.
