JOIN US ON MISSION IN BEAUTIFUL, MYSTERIOUS ROMANIA

The land of Romania has always seemed quite dark and mysterious, but beyond the legends is a beautiful country of rich heritage and extraordinary people.

A new partnership has begun with Joshua Expeditions and Romanian missionaries to take students into the heart of Romania to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with the Romani people. Often called Gypsies, the Roma constitute the second-largest ethnic minority in Romania, but they are the most socially and economically disadvantaged in the country. Illiteracy levels are very high, and most have never heard of the love and forgiveness found in Jesus. Historically, the Roma people of Romania were subject to slavery, and they were a persecuted people up to the mid-20th century. Even today they are a marginalized group, rarely assimilating into general Romanian communities and often viewed with prejudice. Yet, Romani culture has had a significant influence on the country of Romania, where the vibrant art and music of the “Gypsies” is often a part of the general pop culture.

On an unforgettable journey into this beautiful region, your group will encounter a juxtaposition of modern culture and ancient traditions. From the capital city of Bucharest to the land of Transylvania, you will visit some of Romania’s greatest sites and see astounding treasures, including Parliament Palace, the National Art Museum, and the famous castle of Vlad the Impaler, who is more commonly referred to as Dracula. But the highlight of your Romanian experience will be a week of ministry to the local communities. Your group will join a mission agency for such activities as a children’s camp, construction projects, visitation in nearby villages, and service at area schools. Your time in Romania will provide extensive opportunities to share the love of Christ in word and deed.

Join us as we venture to Romania and ignite hearts to change the world!
